06/12/16- “Opal”, Young Calico Available For Adoption

Opal
Opal is a young adult female cat turned into the county shelter along with her three day old babies. Moms and nursing babies don’t do well at shelters and a plea was sent out for a rescue. Opal nursed and raised her babies cage free and cared for in a humane society foster home. Opal’s babies have been adopted but history shows us moms are difficult to place. Our affectionate Opal is leukemia and FIV negative, spayed, micro chipped, vaccinated and has been treated for parasites. She is a dilute calico with a bob tail and awesome personality. If you would like more information, please call 706-436-0965 or email [email protected].

The Hart County Humane Society is a volunteer rescue organization. We receive no funding from any government agencies or other groups. We are a 501C3 non-profit organization. Donations are desperately needed to fund our foster/rescue and spay/neuter programs. Donations can be mailed to P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell Georgia 30643 or be made online through pay pal at harthumane.org.  Please help us help the animals in our community.
