07/01/16 – “Lady Ivy” – Young Lab Mix at Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter

25518Lady Ivy is a very sweet, calm yellow Lab mix with all of the wonderful traits that go along with that breed.

She is approximately 1-2yrs old and from her personality, it is clear she was somebody’s family dog.

Lady Ivy wandered up to a house in a neighborhood where no one recognized her and made herself at home, following the residents wherever they went. She was thin, very thirsty, and dirty and the kind people she came to fed her and tried to find her owners.

Unfortunately, the family she picked to live with could not have a dog and they sadly had to take her to animal shelter in the hopes her true owners would come to claim her.

However, no one ever came and because she was not microchipped, the shelter decided to put her up for adoption.

Lady Ivy would make a wonderful family dog and would be especially good with children. She is calm, sweet and playful.

Her $55 adoption fee covers her spay. She is up to date on her vaccinations.

The Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11a to 4p.

They are located on Bear Creek Road in Lavonia.
