07/27/15 – “Maggie” – Sweet Dachshund at Hart County Humane Society

Maggie MaeMaggie was a very sick stray when she was taken to the animal shelter. Her little body was covered with a horrible fungus that caused her to incessantly scratch and chew herself.

Even with a miserable ailment the little red Dachshund has a sweet and loving personality, endearing her to staff and volunteers. Maggie is receiving necessary medicine and is feeling much better.  We believe the sweet dog has been living outside but she is now happy to sleep in a crate alongside her foster mom’s bed. She has learned to respect cats and is quickly learning good potty skills.

Maggie is spayed, micro chipped, up to date with vaccinations, has been treated for parasites and is on heartworm prevention.  If you would like more information or want to meet sweet Maggie please call 706-436-0965 or email [email protected].
