10/19/15 – “Obie” – Old English Sheepdog at Hart County Humane Society

Obie is a young male, Old English Sheep dog. At 18 months old, this pup is house trained, neutered, micro chipped, up to date with vaccinations and has been treated for parasites.

Obie was purchased as a puppy by a young girl living in an apartment. A year and a half later Obie is still a puppy only much larger. Apartment management demanded Obie leave the only home he knew, his young owner was heartbroken.

Not knowing what to do she took Obie to her parents’ home in South Carolina, just as the recent massive rain and flooding was beginning. Obie had never lived outside but he was left in a 10×10 kennel with only a tarp for protection.

By time Obie came to us, he was a stinky, matted, emotional mess. Our friends at Three Trees Veterinary Services had pity on the poor dog, they worked through their lunch to shave Obie down.
