11/09/15- “Izzy”- White Cat Available at Hart Co. Humane Society

Izzy

As adopters and rescuers come to the shelter to take the beautiful fluffy young kittens, a frightened cat hides in her litter box. The dogs are barking and gates are banging against cages, while Izzy just doesn’t understand why her owners brought her to this horrible place. After a long stay at the shelter an employee pleads with a rescuer to please get Izzy out as her time is up. Finally she is out but only to a quieter cage at the adoption center. Again Izzy watches as younger cats and kittens leave with happy families. But volunteers love the sweet cat and work hard to be Izzy’s advocates. At last it seems as though she has a home and a family that understands the senior cat needs time to adjust. Well Izzy is homeless again! The reason given is she is not active and doesn’t do much. What can we say about that? Izzy is a 6 -7 year old female, DSH, white, DECLAWED, cat. She is leukemia, FIV negative, up to date with vaccinations, treated for parasites and micro chipped. Izzy still has a lot of life ahead of her, she prefers a quiet, adult home with a patient family. If you think you could open your heart and home to our special Izzy please call 706-436-0965 or email [email protected]. If you can’t adopt Izzy please share her story with family and friends and ask them to share it to. Please help this very sweet cat have the life she deserves.
