11/10/14 – “Mystery” – Kitten at Hart County Humane Society

MysteryOur little Mystery is a 14 week old Dilute Calico kitten.

She got her name because it’s a mystery as to where she came from. All cats and kittens are signed in and accounted for at the shelter, but one day an extra little kitten mysteriously appeared.

The kitten was sick, she had upper respiratory illness along with a very infected eye. Of course sick animals cannot stay at the shelter, spreading disease to healthy animals is a risk shelters cannot take.

The expense of treating sick animals is a luxury most shelters cannot afford. What’s a rescue to do, when we get the call about an animal we can help?

We bought the sweet kitten home and though we provided the best medical care possible, Mystery’s eye ruptured.

She has no pain now but plenty of personality. Mystery is now healthy and happy, she doesn’t see herself as handicapped.

She plays with the other cats and dogs in her foster home and is extremely loving. If you would like more information or would like to meet this sweet girl please call 706-436-0965 or email [email protected].
