12/01/14 – “Angelina” – Mixed Breed at Hart County Humane Society

AngelinaTo those who know us it’s no surprise that we rescue many momma dogs. Angelina’s story is the same as so many other female dogs.

Taken in as a puppy she was loved. But unspayed female dogs start having puppies before their first birthday and go on to produce two litters a year and soon they become a nuisance not a pet.  We can only guess how many puppies four year old Angelina birthed before being dumped at the shelter with her last litter.

As the story always goes the puppies were adopted while Angelina’s time ran out. We are happy the puppies found homes, and we are grateful that due to the support of our community we can rescue their momma. Angelina is spayed, heart worm negative, micro chipped, fully vaccinated, treated for parasites and is on preventative.

She is affectionate and eager to please those who show her kindness.
