12/15/14 – “Sasha” – Shih tzu at Hart County Humane Society

SashaWhen the shelter calls asking for help with a specific pet we expect the neediest of animals.

Yet we are never prepared to be moved to tears when we arrive to pick up our rescue.

The twelve pound dog was missing over 50 percent of her fur, she had been pulling at the agonizing itch for quite some time. The fur she still had was nasty and matted to her skin. It was clear to see five year old Sasha had birthed many puppies.

Those days are behind her now. Sasha is spayed, heart worm negative, micro chipped, up to date with vaccinations, been treated for parasites and is on preventative.

The Hart County Humane Society wishes to thank Eula Hall for the loving safe haven and care she has provided for Sasha while she recovered from her life of neglect. We also wish to express our appreciation for our supporters who provide the funds so that pets with extraordinary medical needs receive treatment.

If you would like to meet our sweet Sasha or want more information please call 706-436-0965 or email [email protected].  To learn more about this organization please visit harthumane.org.
