Golden K’s Golf Tournament Set For Monday

In Hart County, the Golden K’s a group of retirees dedicated to helping the disabled by building access ramps, will be holding their annual golf tournament and fund raiser next week.
The tournament will be held Monday, October 27th at Cateechee Golf Club.
It is a shot-gun start, four – person teams, captain’s choice.
You can sign up as a team or as an individual assigned to a team.
Organizer Jerry Canady said money raised will go to buy materials for more access ramps.
“The proceeds of our fundraiser go to buy the materials for the ramps that we build over the year. We are up to 570 something now and going. These are constructed by the Hart County Golden K. The group meets every week. It’s primarily retired, semi-retired folks who have the opportunity now to give back to the community.”
Canady said the Golden K’s are non-profit and all contributions are tax deductible.
:”We’re a 501(c) (3) public charity, and any contributions are tax deductable. If you can’t come out and play golf with us, we’d love to have a contribution from you. You can do that by sending it to P.O. Box 832 Hartwell, GA, c/o the Hart County Golden K”
First, second, and third place teams will receive $400, $200, and $100 cash prizes respectively.
There is also a chance to win a 2014 car from Ed Murdock’s Superstore for anyone who gets a hole in one.
Sign up Monday is at 11:30 with lunch provided.
Tee time is 12:30p.
