6Ft Alligator Captured in Banks Crossing
It’s not what you expect to see in Banks Crossing.
But Tuesday evening, Banks County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an alligator sighting.
According to Banks County Sheriff’s spokesperson Sgt. Carissa McFaddin, the report came in around 5:30p.
McFaddin tells WLHR News Banks County EMS found the alligator in the area of Industrial Park Drive and Industrial Park Boulevard.
She said the gator was about six to seven feet long.
Banks County Code Enforcement Officer, Paul Ruark, responded and successfully captured the reptile.
The gator will be turned over to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
No word on how the alligator ended up in the Banks Crossing industrial park area.
