Accused Child Molestor Gets Bond Hearing

In Oconee County, SC an alleged child molester captured last month in Lavonia remains behind bars despite a bond hearing earlier this week.

A judge set bond for 65-year old Donnie Lane King at $150-thousand dollars with a stipulation he be on a GPS monitor.   King of Wilderness Rd, Fair Play, SC was arrested November 26, at a motel in Lavonia.

According to arrest warrants out of Oconee County, King was wanted by investigators in Oconee County on nine separate counts: two counts of Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor under 16 years of age, four counts of Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor between 11 to 14 years of age and three counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor with the victim under 11 years of age.

Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw said on November 7th, a deputy responded to the DSS office in Oconee County concerning reports of sexual abuse involving one of the female victims.

During the course of the investigation, warrants obtained against King charge him with sexually assaulting the first victim between the ages of eight and fifteen between the dates of February of 2006 and February of 2014.

As the investigation into the allegations involving the first victim continued, new allegations surfaced involving a second female victim.

According to warrants, King is accused of sexually assaulting the second female victim between 1985 and 1986 at the time the victim was fourteen years old.

The incidents are said to have occurred at the Wilderness Road address.   King remains in the Oconee County detention center.
