Betty Jane Carter Brooks, 65, of Canon, died Friday, January 27, 2017 at her home. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Carey Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours, the family will be at the home of Patricia Dobbs in Sandy Cross.
