Camber Takes a Look at Lavonia Elementary

The Lavonia Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Lunch and Learn next week. The Chamber has invited the public to come out for the event that will be next Wednesday, March 29, at noon in the Lavonia Community Center.

The program titled “Spotlight on Lavonia Elementary School” will be presented by the school’s faculty and will highlight recent achievements within the curriculum and social environment.

Several Topics will also be discussed at the luncheon, including the school’s current literacy initiatives, the new culture/climate/counseling programs and technology integration.

Those attending are asked to bring a single-serving food item for Food for Kids or Box Tops for Education, which the Chamber collects year-round for the LES students.

Lunch will be catered and the cost is $8 for members and $10 for non-members. Those wanting more information, or to make reservations can call 706-356-8202. Reservations must be made by March 24.
