Country Hearth Inn To Re-open

One of the Toccoa hotels that closed following inspections is re-opening to the public.

The Country Hearth Inn, located just off of Broad Street in downtown Toccoa, will be having a grand opening and ribbon cutting next week.

In May, new owners Amarin Capital closed the Country Hearth Inn following an inspection by city officials and the Stephens County Health Department in order to upgrade the facility to get it in adequate condition.

At the time, Amarin Capital President and CEO Mario Sarkis said the hotel was not up to his company’s standards.

He said they have renovated the whole facility to bring it up to par.

“The only thing we have not changed in the Country Hearth is the paint color,” said Sarkis. “We are very happy with the 100 we got on our inspection. Every single thing in the hotel is brand new.”

According to Sarkis, the hotel recently did a soft opening to get it back operational.

He said they were very pleased with how that went and the response they received to that.

Sarkis went on to say that he was pleased with how his company worked with the city, Chamber, and others to get the hotel back in business.

“First class,” said Sarkis. “By far, I am very humbled and I mean it from the bottom of my heart.”

The Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce says there will be a ribbon cutting and grand opening for the re-modeled Country Hearth Inn on Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Hotel inspections by the city of Toccoa and Stephens County Health Department closed five facilities back in the Spring for not meeting necessary regulations.

Of those five, the Country Hearth Inn is the first one to re-open.

There is no word at this point on the futures of the other four facilities that were shut down.
