Easter Bunny Appearances and Egg Hunts Dot Northeast Georgia This Weekend

There are lots of fun things to do this weekend in Frankliin and Hart counties, especially for children.
 
Local municipalities, churches and other groups will be hosting Easter Egg hunts on Saturday along with other spring activities.
 
Among them is the town of Carnesville.
 
Their big Easter event will take place most of the afternoon on Saturday beginning with their second annual Easter Egg Hunt and Party in the Park.
 
Over 12,000 eggs will be hidden throughout the park with four prize eggs in each of the four different age divisions.  After the egg hunt, all children ages 12 and under are welcome to stay in the park and enjoy inflatables, a petting zoo, train rides, face painting and take home an animal balloon from our friendly clown!
 
They can also visit with the Carnesville Elementary Schoolmascot Carney the Eagle as he hands out balloons!  All activities are open to the public and free to ages 12 and under.  Bring your camera to make a picture as your child visits with the easter bunny! Cookies and kool-aid served to all! 
 
In Lavonia, the Easter Bunny will be a the Downtown Gazebo along with the Ferst Foundation giving books to children and reading, there will be an inflatable, kids crafts, the Farmers Market will be open and lots of Candy. This is a Free Event and everyone is welcome.  Come see the Easter Bunny Saturday morning from 10-12.
 
And in Royston, the Royston Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 19, at 10:00 a.m. at the VFW location on Highway 29…there will be thousands of eggs to find, prizes, special appearance by the Easter Bunny and refreshments after the egg hunt…please let your family and friends know of this annual event…that begins at 10:00 a.m. Come early for the special arrival of the Easter Bunny! 
 
In Hart County, The Hart County Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual Easter Egg Hunt, on the Square in Hartwell Saturday beginning at 11a.   That is also free and open to the public. 
 
In Elbert Coumnty, Main Street Elberton and Firehouse Church are each hosting events this Saturday for Easter weekend.
 
Assistant Director of Community Affairs for Elberton Tiffany Mercer tells WLHR News the Easter Bunny will be on the square in downtown Elberton and all of the stores will be open downtown with a big sidewalk sale.
 
So, while mom and dad are downtown with the kids visiting Mr. Easter Bunny, they can also take advantage of all of the sidewalk sales. The event spans to Sutton Park in Elberton, which is where Mercer says Firehouse Church comes into play.
 
Firehouse Church in Elberton will also be hosting their second annual Easter egg hunt, and this is a huge egg hunt and will have about ten thousand eggs this year.  Festivities at Sutton Park begin at 10:00am with registration for the Easter egg hunt, which begins at noon.  Free popcorn and drinks will be offered.
