Easter Egg Hunts, Easter Cantata and Walk With Jesus This Weekend

As we get closer to the Easter holiday weekend, local events are beginning to pop up around Franklin and Hart Counties.

In Franklin County, Carnesville Community Park will be hopping with little bunnies Saturday looking for those Easter eggs when the town hosts its annual Easter Egg Hunt and Party in the Park.

Sponsored by the City of Carnesville, the free egg hunt starts at 2p with over 10,000 eggs hidden throughout the park for the little ones to find.

There will also be four prize eggs for each age division.

After the Easter Egg Hunt, ages 12 and under are invited to stay afterwards for more fun on the inflatables, train rides, and balloons. Lemonade and cookies served to all.

Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras to create your photo of your child with the Easter Bunny!

On Sunday, two Franklin County churches will hold special Easter events.

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will present its Easter cantata, “No Stone Could Hold Him” during their 11a worship service.

Also in Royston, Zidon Baptist Church will hold its annual “Walk with Jesus” tours from 3p to 7p Sunday afternoon.

Tours will run every 15 minutes and will take about an hour to complete.

And if you just can’t enough of Easter Egg Hunts this weekend…there’s more …

Tonight is the first annual Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt in Laurel Park in Gainesville.

It starts at 6p and is free. The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance.

On Saturday is the 27th Annual Cabbage Patch Kids Magical Easter Eggstraveganza from 8a to 3p at Babyland General Hospital.

The day begins with a pancake breakfast, a parade and at 2p 30,000 Easter Eggs for kids to find.

Next weekend, both the City of Royston and the City of Hartwell will hold their annual Easter Egg Hunts.
