FCP Summer Youth Program Registration Next Month

Enrollment is coming up soon for this year’s ninth annual Franklin Community Players  2014 Youth Summer Theatre Program. 
 
The two-week program is scheduled for July 7th through 18th, at the Lavonia Cultural Center and is open to children aged 8 to 15. 
The Youth Theatre Program will operate Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday, July 18th from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Program participants will stage a musical for three performances at the Lavonia Cultural Center.  
 
Valicia Miller, FCP President tells WLHR News the Summer Theatre Program offers over 70 hours of fun for a fee as low as $80. 
 
Registration is scheduled for Thursday, May 1st and Friday, May 2nd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Lavonia Cultural Center and just 40 participants will be enrolled.
 
Both a parent/guardian and the participant must attend registration.  Children can prepare a 30-second vocal audition a capella (with no musical accompaniment).  
 
Children wishing to participate in the 2014 Youth Summer Theatre Program must be no younger than 8 on July 7th and no older than 15 on July 20th.   Registration this year will be limited to no more than 40 children.
 
The 2011 Franklin Community Players Youth Summer Theatre Program won national recognition and was named among the nation’s top summer activities for value.
