Franklin County HS Wins Award in North Georgia Tech Video Competition

Franklin County High School and Ross Controls have placed in North Georgia Tech’s video contest entitled, “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?”

Five high schools partnered with a manufacturer in their county to produce a short video to promote careers in local manufacturing.

Competing schools and companies included, Franklin County High and Ross Controls, Stephens County and Global Partitions, White County and Cleveland Tool and Design, Habersham County and TenCate, and Union County and Corrugated Replacements.

The competition among the five counties participating was very strong, according to North Georgia Tech spokesperson Sandra Maughon.

This week, the winners were announced.

Franklin County High School and Ross Controls received the Outstanding Creativity Award and Viewer’s Choice Award for the video that received the most votes.

Out of 17,492 votes cast in the competition, Franklin County’s video received 8,069.
The Outstanding “Cool” Award was given to Stephens County High School and their video of Global Partitions.

The Outstanding videography Award went to White County High School and Cleveland Tool & Die.

Habersham Central High School won the award for Outstanding Editing for their showcase of Tencate.

And Union County High School and Corrugated Replacements received two awards: Outstanding Educational Value Award and Outstanding Team Spirit Award.
