Franklin Springs Re-appoints Staff and Employees for 2015

The City of Franklin Springs has re-appointed all of its staff and employees for 2015.
At their meeting Tuesday, the city council voted to re-appoint Bubba Samuels as the Municipal Court Judge, the law firm of Sanders, Smith & Ranck as the city attorneys, and Hulsey McCormick & Wallace as the town’s engineers.
They also re-appointed Jackie Yearwood as the Franklin Springs City Clerk, along with all other city employees.
The council then voted to name councilman Bill Bell as the mayor pro-tem for 2015.
In other business, the City Council also raised their qualifying fee.
Mayor Lee Moore said the qualifying fee had to go up because of a new state law.
That brings the new fee up to $43.20.
Two city council seats are up for grabs in Franklin Springs in this year’s General Election.
