Funeral Services Set for This Week for Two FCHS Students

Funeral services are planned for today and Tuesday for the two Franklin County High School teens killed in a wreck last week on Jackson Bridge Road.

Timothy Hartman,17  and Maleke Moon, 17 died last Wednesday afternoon when the driver of the pick up truck they were passengers in lost control in a curve, left the road, slid down a 35-foot embankment and overturned.

Both Hartman and Moon were seniors at Franklin County High School.

Funeral services for Maleke will be held at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon from the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens-South in Royston. The Moon family is at the home.

Services for Timothy Hartman will also take place at Pruitt Funeral home on Tuesday.  Visitation will be held this evening at the funeral home from 6p to 8p.

Funeral services for Timothy will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens – South in Royston, GA.

The family is at the home of Bonnie Beatenbo, on College Avenue, in Canon.

Meantime, at the high school Friday, many students wore the school colors of green and black in remembrance of Hartman and Moon.

They also took up a collection for the two families during their lunch period.

So far, just over $900 has also been raised on the www.YouCaring.com Web site for the Hartman family to help with burial expenses.
