GDOT Crews Out on Local County Roads This Week

G-DOT crews will once again be out doing routine road maintenance this week in addition to work major work on SR17 in Stephens County and SR51/Reed Creek Highway in Hart County.

Franklin – The slopes alongside SR 145 will be mowed, closing the shoulder as this occurs.

Hart – A crew will reset the grade of the shoulders alongside SR 8/US 29, SR 181 and SR 77 spur. This work requires a lane and the shoulder to be closed.

Stephens – A crew seal cracks in the driving surface of SR 184. A lane and the shoulder will be closed as this work occurs. Another crew will clean and restore ditches alongside SR 106, the shoulder will be closed as this work occurs.

Banks – A crew will be trimming vegetation in the rights of way alongside SR 15/US 441. This work requires the shoulders to be closed

Elbert – A crew will trim vegetation growing alongside SR 77 and SR 72. This work requires the shoulders to be closed.

Madison – A crew clean spray overgrown vegetation with herbicide alongside SR 72, SR 174, SR 281, SR 98 and SR 106. A lane and the shoulder will be closed as this work occurs.

Crews will work Monday, August 18 through Friday, August 23. Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. if weather permits.   Most activities will only require shoulder or median lane closures.
