Hart County BOC Signs Letter of Support for Franklin County IBA

Hart County is backing Franklin County’s Industrial Building Authority with a letter of support.

At their regular meeting last week, the Board approved the letter.

Interim County Administrator said the letter is in support of the Franklin County IBA’s efforts to build a new industrial park in Carnesville.

Commissioner Joey Dorsey said the letter not only benefits Franklin County’s IBA but Hart County as well.

“We are both part of the Joint Development Authority and even though this is in a neighboring county, there could be Hart County citizens one day working in that future industrial park. If this materializes, there will be more jobs,” Dorsey said. “Plus, they’ve helped us in the past.”

After hearing from Dorsey, the Board voted unanimously to send the letter of approval.
