Help Needed to Locate Stolen Water Well Pump

Oconee County, SC authorities are asking for the public’s help to find a suspect responsible for a theft last week in the Long Creek area.

It happened last Wednesday, August 12.

Oconee County Sheriff’s office spokesman Jimmy Watt tells WLHR News a deputy with the Uniform Patrol Division responded to an address on Battlecreek Road in regards to a stolen water pump off of a well.

Deputies believe that the theft happened sometime between midnight and 8:30am on the 12^th.

The pump is a 12 year old Jacuzzi ½ horsepower 4.5 gallons per minute pump that is approximately 3 feet in length and 3 inches in diameter stainless steel.

According to deputies, the value to replace the well pump is around $1,000.

Anyone with information on the stolen water pump is asked to contact the Sheriff’s office at 1-888 CRIME-SC or 864-638-STOP.

You don’t have to give your name and if you tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
