James Howard “Jimmy” Langford, 86, of Athens, Ga. passed away Friday May 9, 2014 at Silverleaf Alzheimers Hospice after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday May 12, 2014 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday from 1 pm until the service hour. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the Silverleaf Hospice or Beech haven Baptist Church of Athens. Strickland Funeral Home Lavonia Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
