June is “Adopt a Cat Month”! For shelters and rescue organizations it’s not an opportunity to celebrate. If you have been casually thinking of adopting a cat or kitten please consider doing it now! Please visit Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter on Bear Creek Rd in Lavonia, this is Hart County’s public shelter. The shelter is over crowded with cats and kittens, please consider an adult cat or perhaps a pair of kittens.

 

The shelter is open 11:00 until 4:00 Tuesday through Saturday. You may also consider visiting the wonderful cats and kittens in the cat room at our Anderson PetSmart. All Hart County Humane Society cats and kittens at PetSmart are spayed or neutered, micro chipped, combo tested negative, have received age appropriate vaccinations and have been treated for parasites. Please be aware humane society cats and kittens are inside adoption only and declawing is against the adoption agreement.
