Kansas Man Killed in Wreck in Oconee County, SC

A Kansas man is the first traffic fatality in Oconee County, SC this year.

Oconee County coroner Karl Addis said over the weekend  33-year old Frank Travis Yoho of LeRoy, Kanasas was found dead by friends on the Rochester Highway near Salem.

Authorities say  Friday night Yoho was traveling north on SC 130 when his motorcycle ran off the right side of the road in a curve (left) and struck a pine tree. 

He died at the scene from blunt force trauma to the head and neck; he was not wearing a helmet. 

Yoho was found Saturday by a female friend and her son during a search for him after he failed to arrive to meet friends Friday night and attempts to reach him during the night and early Saturday morning were unsuccessful.

Mr. Yoho was working with a construction company at the Michelin site in Anderson County.  Addis an autopsy will be conducted to confirm the cause of death.
