Law Enforcement Aprehends Suspect in Franklin County

Search crews were on the ground yesterday in Franklin County looking for a man wanted on warrants out of Franklin County..

Franklin County Sheriff Steve Thomas said the search for Donald Ray Brown began Wednesday morning in the area of Tom’s Creek Road.

Thomas said Brown was a passenger in a vehicle when the Georgia State Patrol pulled the car over.

At that point, Brown got out and ran.

GSP, deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s office and K-9 units from the Georgia Department of Corrections were on the ground looking for Brown.

Brown was apprehended yesterday afternoon.

Thomas said Brown is facing misdemeanor charges in Franklin County but now also faces charges from the State Patrol.

Brown is currently being held in the Franklin County Jail.
