Lawrenceville Man Facing Multiple Charges in Hart County Road Rage Case

We have an update on case of road rage in Hart County involving the driver of a pick up truck and a farm combine.

Hart County Sheriff Mike Cleveland tells WLHR News charges were filed against the driver of the pick up.

It happened just after 3p Monday when a burgundy pick-up truck and a combine side swiped each other on B. Bailey Rd. in Hart County.

The driver of the pick up turned to follow the combine and the chase was on.

That driver is identified as Jay Michael Jackson of Lawrenceville.

Jackson told Hart County Sheriff’s deputies he pulled a gun and fired a shot into the ground to get the combine driver’s attention.

The combine driver then headed through a field to get away from Jackson.

They made their way to Mt. Olivet Rd. where deputies from the Hart County Sheriffs Office met them.

Jackson was taken into custody and charged with DUI, reckless conduct, discharging a firearm on or near a roadway, reckless driving, and criminal damage to property,

Jackson’s bond was set at $10,300.
