Franklin County authorities are asking for the public’s help to locate two suspected armed robbers.

Franklin County Sheriff Stevie Thomas said on Monday afternoon at about 4p, two men robbed a man and woman at a home in the Gumlog Community near Lavonia.

“When deputies arrived at the home, the homeowner told them he had been robbed at gunpoint,” Thomas said.

The victims described the suspects as a black male, athletic build, about 5′ 10″, with dreadlocks and a tattoo of a flame on his arm, and a white male with blonde hair, buzz cut, blue eyes and a  tattoo on  his left forearm.

“The suspects fired a rifle at the victims, but they were not hurt.  As the suspects fled, the victims were able to get a photo of their vehicle. It appears to be a newer model vehicle believed to be a Mercury Milan,” Thomas said. “These two individuals should be considered armed and dangerous.”

Anyone who has any information on the vehicle or the suspects is asked to contact your local 911 or call the Franklin County Sheriff’s office at 706-384-2525.  You do not have to give your name.
