September 14, 2012

A Virginia man sits in the Banks County jail after a routine traffic stop led to a huge drug bust.

According to Access North Georgia, Banks County Sheriff Charles Chapman said one of his deputies saw 31-year old Travis Wyatt of Martinsville, Virginia acting suspiciously in the parking lot of a Banks County convenience store.

While interviewing Wyett,  Chapman said his deputy discovered Wyett was carrying pills in his pocket that were not in a prescription bottle.

Wyett was arrested and afterwards deputies discovered over nine pounds of crystal meth inside his vehicle.

Chapman said Wyett was on his way from Atlanta back to Virginia with the drugs.
