Royston DDA Holds Economic Development Symposium

The City of Royston’s Downtown Development Authority will be holding its much-anticipated Northeast Georgia Economic Development Symposium today.
Today’s symposium takes place at the Royston Housing Authority from 11a to 2p.
According to Royston Main Street Executive Director Candy Rhoades, this is the first such symposium of its kind in Northeast Georgia.
Rhoades said the symposium is being co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and is an excellent opportunity for local businesses as well as area municipal and county governments.
“This is the first in this area. Invitees are welcome to attend. It will be city, county, industrial development authority officials, any businesses, and it will be an opportunity to speak with lenders on the state and federal level to learn opportunities that could help them with their lending needs. We will have fifteen vendors at the event for people to speak with while they are there.”
Rhoades said there will also be information on housing loans, as well as experts to speak with you on how to best expand your business.
The symposium is free and open to the public as well.
Again it takes place next month, on Thursday, July 23 fro 11a to 2p at the Royston Housing Authority on Hartwell St.
Rhoades said this is a drop in symposium with no appointment necessary.
