Royston Woman Charged with Trafficking Meth

meth bust at fredsalecia patat fulghumA Royston woman is behind bars charged with possession and trafficking methamphetamine.

According to Franklin County Sheriff Stevie Thomas, the arrest came Tuesday after deputies pulled over a vehicle for a routine traffic stop in Lavonia.

“On Tuesday afternoon, Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies stopped  avehicle traveling northbound on SR17,” Thomas said. “The vehicle was pulled over into the parking lot of Fred’s in Lavonia. The deputy requested a K-9 unit after speaking with the driver, and a large quantity of meth was found.”

Arrested was 33-year old Alicia Patat Fulghum of Royston.

Fulghum is charged with failure to maintain lane, brake light violation, DUI by refusal, no driver’s license on person, marijuana possession less than an ounce, drug related objects and trafficking in methamphetamines.

Thomas said approximately 48 grams of meth were found in the vehicle with a street value of around $4,800.
So far, bond has not been set for Fulghum and she remains in the Franklin County Detention Center.
