Second Political Forum Tonight in Carnesville

The second of two political forums takes place tonight in Carnesville for Franklin County voters.

The forum takes place tonight at 7p at the Carnesville Community Center.

Tonight voters will be able to hear from candidates in key races including the Franklin County Sheriff’s office, the Northern Judicial Circuit District Attorney, Superior Court Judge, and the State Senate District 50 seat.

Incumbent Sheriff Steve Thomas is being challenged by Stephens County Sheriff’s deputy Timothy Wayne Hill.

DA Parks White is being challenged by Elbert County judge Richard Campbell and Incumbent State Senator John Wilkinson is being challenged by retired police officer Roy Benifield.

Sponsored by the Franklin County Republican Party, Party Chair John Hylton says these forums are designed to give voters an opportunity to hear from the candidates first-hand.

Candidates will also be taking questions from the audience in addition to presenting their platforms.

Again, tonight’s political forum takes place at the Carnesville Community Center on Hull St. from 7p to 9p.
