Two Face Multiple Drug Charges in Rabun County

In Rabun County, two Atlanta men are behind bars charged with drug possession and a host of other crimes.

The arrests came Thursday after a traffic stop, according to the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office.

Spokesman Mitchell Posey tells WLHR News during an interdiction stop at the intersection of Hwy 441 and Holyfield Connecter, Rabun County Authorities seized approximately 1 grams of heroin, 50 grams of methamphetamine and $5,550.

The street value of the illegal narcotics is approximately $5,900.

Arrested were the driver and passenger, identified as 36-year old Louis Alberto Ocsio-Green and 29-year old Manuel Aljandro Rodriguez, both of Smyrna.

Ocsio-Green was charged with Trafficking in methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a felony, Possession of firearm by convicted felon, and Crossing of guard lines with weapons, intoxicants, or drugs without consent of the Warden or Superintendent.

Rodriguez was charged with Trafficking in methamphetamine, Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a felony, Possession of firearm by convicted felon, and driving while license suspended.

Ocsio-Green and Rodriquez were transported to the Rabun County Detention Center.
