Mrs. Vera Nell Starr Alvis, 93, of Canon, Ga. passed away on thursday November 20, 2014 at the Brown Health & Rehab in Royston, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Sunday November 23, 2014 at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens North in Lavonia, Ga. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until funeral hour on Sunday afternoon. The family is at their respective homes.
