“WATER WORKS” TODAY FOR MARTIN & AVALON AREA

Georgia DOT announces crews are working to install the new water line for the Martin Avalon Area near State Route 328. The City expects the new water line to be operational today. Crews expect to have the new line operational by 5 p.m. this evening. Pressure will be affected and water could be turned off altogether for a few hours.

 
State Route 17 from Toccoa to Interstate 85 is part of the 2012 Georgia Statewide Freight and Logistics Plan outlined the most viable freight routes providing the necessary connectivity to accommodate present and projected future freight flow through the state. The plan identified the 50 highest truck volume locations and the most critical freight bottlenecks throughout the state.
