12/14/12 – “Molly” – Beagle Mix at Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter

Little Molly was turned into the shelter by a man who breeds Beagles because he said she would not hunt.  Well Molly, a Beagle mix, is not a hunter.  She’s a lover.

Molly is a year old and has had a hard life.  She was initially very shy when she first arrived, but the shelter staff has been working with her and even taking her home at night with them so she’s doing much better.

Molly just wants to be part of a family, to have a lap to cuddle on and someone to love her.  She is full grown and weighs about 15lbs.

She would be a great dog for someone looking for a constant companion and friend.   There are a lot of puppies available now, but please give Molly a chance this Christmas. You’ll get the gift of a lifetime of love.

The Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter believes that all animals are entitled to be free from suffering, abuse, and exploitation. We believe in the intrinsic dignity and sanctity of animal life. We have an obligation to prevent cruelty, alleviate suffering, and to protect and care for homeless and abandoned animals. Our mission is to promote the adoption of companion animals and to educate the public on responsible pet ownership. We believe that our values, decisions, conduct, and behavior should set the tone and be a model for others in their care and treatment of animals.

Take I-85 north to the Lavonia exit 173 at Hwy. 17, go right, travel approximately 1.5 miles through town, turn right at the Northeast Georgia Bank on to Bear Creek Road. The Shelter is approximately 1 mile on the right. The hours of operation are from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday through Saturday.
