AutoZone Looking For Water to Help With Storm Victims

The AutoZone Distribution Center is partnering with the Lavonia Food Pantry and the AutoZone stores located in Lavonia and Toccoa to help those who are in need of water after the recent storms says AutoZone HR adviser Erika Abraham…

“We will be taking water donations at our local AutoZone store here in Lavonia and in Toccoa, as well as the Lavonia Food Pantry, and those are our three location sites as well as the distribution center for our AutoZoners here to contribute.”

Abraham says they will be collecting water until the end of the week…

“We are asking that all donations be made by Friday, September 15th, at 5pm.”

Autozone is asking for bottled water, though sealed gallons may work as well..

“We are asking for packs of bottled water, but I am sure that those in need would appreciate any form that it could come in.”

The water will help those throughout the southeast…

“It’ll be going out on our trucks to areas that we make deliveries that have been affected, which would mainly be the Florida area, but also some in Georgia have been affected as well, so we will decide that once we have all the water contributed and make that designation.”

Abraham adds that they appreciate the public’s help in making the water drive possible…

“We just really appreciate everyone’s participation, we see how close it came to home, and how easily anyone can be affected, and you want to be able to help when your are able to because it could be you in that time of need.”

Again the water will be collected until 5pm on Friday of this week.
