Mrs. Eugenia “Gene”(Batson) Whitworth, 87, of Royston formerly of Lavonia died Wednesday September 4, 2013 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center.  Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Friday September 6, 2013 at the Lavonia First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lavonia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Strickland Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 pm to 8pm. At other times the families will be at their respective homes. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Lavonia First Baptist Church Building Fund.
