United Way To Hold Charity Dinner Tonight

The Franklin County United Way is sponsoring a charity dinner tonight in Carnesville with proceeds going to the charities supported by the group. Franklin County United Way Chairman of the Board Daniel Brown gives the details.

“Our fundraising dinner is going to be held on Thursday, that will be on October 19. It will be from 6-8 p.m. And will be held at the Carnesville Community Center,” said Brown.

According to Brown, the meal is worth looking forward to.

“We will have a buffet-style dinner that will consist of poppy seed chicken as well as green beans. I’m also told there will be cake, there will be banana pudding and that is being catered by Step of Faith Outreach,” said Brown.

Along with the meal, the event will feature other activities as well as prizes.

“Tickets to the event are $20 for adults and they are $10 for kids under 12. We’ll have lots of prizes that night, we’ll have silent auction items, it’s going to be a really fun event and proceeds benefit the Franklin County United Way.

According to Brown, the local United Way chapter supports Reins of Life as well as Harmony House.
